PICK UP, DELIVERY & SHIPPING INFORMATION

Please reach out to us with any pick up, delivery or shipping questions you may have.

Pick up – When you check out, you will need to choose the pick up option if you are able to meet us in Ames, Webster City, or in Des Moines at the Iowa Food Cooperative to pick up your order.  There are four options for pickup: Webster City, Ames, Des Moines/Iowa Food Cooperative and Ames Main Street Farmers Market (May-Oct.).  Once we've received your order, we'll email you to schedule a date/time at the location you chose. Please make sure you have included your contact information at check out. Webster City days fairly flexible - but generally Monday or Tuesday.  Ames and Des Moines are normally Wednesdays (with Des Moines being on a bi-weekly schedule).  Don't hesitate to check if you need a different day - we may be able to accommodate.  

Delivery - Currently home or business delivery is only available in the cities of Ames and Webster City.  If you are located within these areas and would like to have your order delivered to your home or business, choose the ship option at check out.  Once you have entered your home or business address, then choose the delivery option.  we will contact you to schedule the next delivery date/time.  Please make sure you have included your contact information at checkout. Delivery fees may be applied depending on order size.

 

If you do not live in Ames or Webster City and would like home/business delivery, please contact us directly. Delivery may be available/arranged depending on what the logistics look like. Delivery fees may be applied. 

Custom Whole or Half Hog Share Orders – Please choose the Clarion Locker Custom Share Pick up option.  Custom Whole or Half Hogs need to be picked up at the Clarion Locker. We'll contact you to go over the details for your Custom Whole or Half Hog order. Please make sure you have included your contact information at check out.

If you would like delivery of your custom whole or half hog please contact us directly before ordering. Delivery may be available/arranged depending on what the logistics look like. Delivery fees may be applied.


Shipping – We are currently working on finalizing our shipping options. Please contact us directly to setup shipping to your location. 

Please inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us immediately if there are any concerns. We are not responsible for damages or issues that occur after the order is delivered by our shipping carrier. Knob Hill Farm is not responsible for any damage once the shipment has been picked up by the carrier. (ie. issues as a result of meat being left out too long or mishandling.) It is the responsibility of the recipient to make arrangements to get the meat in a freezer ASAP upon delivery.  If an order is delayed, lost, or stolen, an incorrect address entered at checkout or for other reasons outside our control, we will not be able to replace the box. Due to the nature of our perishable meat products, they cannot be returned. If it is determined that a refund/replacement is warranted we will work with you to make it right.
